With over 20 years experience in communications and marketing across China, Singapore and Taiwan, Wan-Gyn has a strong track record of success and driving growth, working with leading global brands including Unilever, Sony, Chanel, HSBC, Volkswagen, Google, and Ferrero.
Before joining Carat, she was the Managing Director of PHD Singapore, transforming the agency into a global strategic planning unit, as well as enhancing product and service offerings both locally and regionally. Prior to that, Wan-Gyn was partner at M2M Singapore, a full service media network under Omnicom Media Group.
As one of the most recognised media veterans in Asia, Wan-Gyn was recognised in 2016 by Campaign Asia as one of their prestigious ‘Women to Watch’.
Monica Lin has 25 years experience in media and marketing. She has worked across multiple categories ranging from Uni-President, 7-11, Wei Chuang, Gucci, Hermes, Nissan, Chrysler, Pioneer to Wyeth.
She currently oversees the client service team in Carat Beijing. In her previous role, Monica was EVP, Aegis Media Taiwan. Prior to that, she had worked for Union Ad, LOWE, Bozell, FCB and Kuo Hua Ad.
Monica has a strong knowledge of client service, business management, brand marketing, event planning, cross-brand marketing and PR crisis management.
Gary Pan is managing director with responsibility for leading the full operations of Carat Beijing. He oversees day-to-day management in addition to a broad leadership remit across all clients based in Carat Beijing. He’s tasked to drive integrated and strategic media solutions, and to ensure the maximum marketing and business value for clients.
Pan has 14 years of experience in media communications across Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. He has a wealth of experience in offering strategic services spanning multiple categories and managing large planning teams, working with iconic international and Chinese brands such as Mengniu, Master Kong, PepsiCo, COFCO, Tencent, JD.com, SAIC Motor, Ping An, Bank of Communications and China Merchants Bank.
Wang Fan leads a team to provide customers with services in social media strategy, consumer insights, mining and maintenance, data monitoring, etc. He is a senior researcher and practitioner of social media and social business with five years of social media experience.
Wang Fan was one of the founders of Sina Weibo, head of the national commercial market. Responsible for providing social media consulting services for corporate clients in more than 20 industries.
Sen Lin leads Carat’s Culture team as Head of Culture with a remit to redefine insights and articulate the connections between brand and culture. Culture team is uniquely positioned to develop communication solutions that are linked into culture. It also brings together a diverse range of talent with people from insight, strategy, creative, branding and media backgrounds to work and play together, supporting clients across Carat the resources of the team are available understand cultural tribes and develop strategic solutions to connect brand to culture through media.
Sen brings with him over a decade of experience across marketing, planning, brand positioning and communication strategy, spanning multiple sectors including FMCG, automobile, banking, electronics, amongst others.
Sen joins Carat China from MCCANN where he worked on brand positioning and communication strategy for Cadillac. Prior to that, he had worked at SAATCHI & SAATCHI, O.M.P and OGILVY &. MATHER ADVERTISING, servicing international and Chinese brands including Häagen-Dazs, Chivas Regal, China Bank of Communications, Microsoft, etc.
With years of expertise in media planning, consumer research and advertising effectiveness evaluation, Simon joined Carat in 2013.
He has worked as different roles in agency and media owner across planning, new business development, analytics and modelling etc. With deep understanding to media planning and analytics, he always tries to generate business value through integrating these 2 abilities.
Simon specializes in analytics, consumer research & insights (including China’s largest syndicated consumer survey “CCS”), tools management and media ROI business & practices for Carat. He also developed the industry first communication ecosystem optimization tool “Ecosystem Planner”.
Doris is a hardworking and self-motivated marketer with 8-years of experience in marketing, especially in terms of digital strategy, media planning & negotiations, media implementation & media optimization. She has solid skill in using digital & marketing analysis tools, and extensive business pitch experience
With her strategic & creative thinking and strong market analysis capability, as per taking different roles in 3 aspects including creative, media & marketing side, she is able to provide clients with constructive point of view & productive solutions.

Ami is Australian born Chinese; bilingual in English and Chinese with 14 years experience in China. Apt externally in Client relations as well as internally in operations management, strategy development and team building. She has an intuitive personality with the ability to lead and inspire, take initiative and deliver compelling ideas in a persuasive way.
Ami joined Carat China in 2017 and leads her Business Unit with a commitment to generating premium strategic planning services to clients (Pernod Ricard China, Vitasoy, United Airline, IKEA…). Leveraging DAN network resources. Identifying media roles and creative commercial gaps in media landscape, marrying opportunities with innovative and sounds end-to end solutions.
Uming is a seasoned thinker with vast category experience.
Currently he leads four integrate planning teams of 20 planners to drive fully integrated media plan includes TV, OOH, digital media, social media, e-PR, content & e-commerce.
He previously worked at BBDO in a strategic planning role and later, business development. Before that he held positions at Ogilvy Action and SMG. He has led communication strategy & new business growth for various international brands like Gillette, BRAUN, Bayer Pharma, Lay’s, KFC, Fonterra, Shanghai Disney Resort, Diocs, Midea, Denza, Fuji, Johnny Walker, Corona, Stella Artois and Guinness.
His work has been recognized domestically and abroad, winning numerous awards including the coveted Gold WARC Prize, 4 X EFFIE Gold and 5 X ROI Gold.
Kahwei has spent 20 years in the industry in both Malaysia and China; the last 12 years in Carat China. He is specialized in Media Planning, and has led brands like Philips in the digital transformation process.
His work has been globally recognised with awards such as a gold WARC global recognition for ‘Best use of Data’ testament to his market beating 11.11 strategy.
Global client experience includes Philips, Mattel, Microsoft, KFC，Visit Britain, Wyeth, Mastercard, Bayer, Fed Ex and Tourism Australia.
Gordan currently leads the Adidas business, along with VCA, Sephora, Playstation, JYSK, the newly acquired Dutch Lady & helped a host of international clients to launch in China.
Gordan has about a decade’s worth of experience in media planning. Prior to Shanghai, he was posted in Jakarta, Indonesia as Associate Planning Director in Mindshare. His role was to help build and manage a local team assigned to Unilever.
